Room 4 had a tremendous first day at school on Tuesday the 31st of January.
We started the day by getting to know one another. Mr Knap revealed that he used to teach at Evans Bay Intermediate in Kilbirnie and that prior to being a teacher he was a full-time tennis coach.
Kasia told us that she is fluent in sign language and we discovered that Mr Knap has met Benny's Mum before! Many of the boys enjoyed playing Rugby whilst the majority of the girls played Netball.
After morning tea the class started creating a brainstorm on an 'Introducing Me' letter they will be writing for Mr Knap and the students of Room 4. The purpose of the letter is to inform the class about their family, hobbies, likes/dislikes and what they are looking forward to this year.
Lunchtime arrived and we were ready for a rest!
In the afternoon we began our Room 4 Class Jigsaw Project that will become a wall display. Every student has a puzzle piece that is divided into four. One of the segments at the moment is being used for an Acrostic Poem whilst the other segment will contain information about each students hero.
The day ended with Tilly giving us a fantastic singing performance.
