Room 3

Kia Ora and welcome to fantastic Room 3!!! This Term we are looking at Ancient Civilizations. Our class focus has been on Ancient Greece. This has been a fun topic which the class has enjoyed, particularly art, where the children have been producing a range of pieces from 3D models of the Colosseum, Ancient Greek Vase, Trojan Horse, Stone Henge and a Greek Warship. We have also looked at the Greek Gods and the influence they had over the people of Greece. Greek philosophers and how democracy started in Athens. We have also been lucky to have a visit from the fire brigade to give the children a talk on fire safety. In week 7 of this term the children will be participating in the Senior Winter Sports where we will be sending teams in the following sports: Hockey Rugby Soccer Netball Rippa Rugby This event will be held on the 31st August.
