Welcome to Room 16 2012!!!

Hi! My name is Di Puati and I'm the teacher of this lovely bunch of students that you see before you! Unfortunately, there wasn't anyone around when this photo was taken, so yours truly is the photographer and therefore not in the picture! This term has been a whirlwind term and so much has happened and still to happen - check out our calendar. Students have settled well into class routines and are an enthusiastic and motivated bunch that have worked well together as a team this term. Their work ethic in the class can only be described as phenomenal and I am very proud and privileged to be their teacher. I am excited about working with and beside them and can't wait to see what the rest of the year holds for us. Be sure to check out our page and I will try to ensure that we put regular features here.
We would like to welcome, student teacher, Alicia Hopkins to Room 16. Alicia has been working with students this term and will be with us in Term 2 for five weeks. Alicia has a wealth of experience in environmental issues, having worked for Department of Conservation for two years. She has worked on both Kapiti Island and Matiu/Somes Island, so has fitted in well with the ethos of our syndicate and school. Don't be shy about introducing yourself to her if you happen to come into the class!
