Kahikatea has been to Tongariro National Park for their 2010 camp.
When you come to the 'Meet the Teachers' night on Tuesday 2nd March, come and see some of the camp photos on the Smartboards in the classrooms.
GREAT NEWS!!!
We have received a $5000 grant towards the buses from The Lion Foundation. Many thanks to them for their support and to Nick Swan from the BOT for submitting the application for us. This will reduce each students camp fee by over $40.

Activities included rafting on the Tongariro River, the tramp to Red Crater on Mt Tongariro, a visit to the National Trout Centre, Rock wall, swimming and a visit to the Volcanic Activity Centre in Taupo.

Michael Reynolds (Bus Driver)
The teachers were: Trish Wagstaff, Erica Franklin, Michael Young as well as Graham McDonald and our Police Education Officer Amanda Parson.
Many thanks to the parents that came with us. They were great and were very supportive of the students and the teachers. It is always wonderful to have parents that are so easy to get along with, as well as ones that know exactly what needs to be done and gets on with it. Thanks again. We had a group of ukelele players in the group that kept us entertained at camp and on the bus. Students gathered around and joined in singing with them. Bagpipes were also heard being played on the last night. Thanks, Sam.
