Welcome to Room 4
Hi, I'm Trish Wagstaff, teacher of Room 4. We have 30 great Year 7 & 8 students in Room 4.

Firewise
Room 4 is going to visit the new Paraparaumu Station on September the 3rd. As well as a general visit, there will be career information included in this visit.
Ancient Egypt
We have begun our work on Ancient Civilisations - our initial focus is Egypt. After that the students will either work on a more in depth study of Egypt or choose another civilisation to do an Inquiry study on.
At the end of our ANZAC unit Ruby and Sam were chosen to represent the school at the community ANZAC service. As a class we listened to Willie Apiata's book 'Reluctant Hero' being read. This was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

Class Councillors
Congratulations to Ruby Dean and Sarah Chung who were elected by the class as Room 4's 2010 class councillors. A double congrats to Ruby who was also elected as the Chairperson of the council when it had it's first meeting. Sarah is to share the role of secretary with Melissa from Room 2.
