Syndicate Leader

My name is Michael Stewart and I am the teacher in Room 1 and also the Kowhai Team Leader. This is my sixth year teaching at Raumati South School and my second in Kowhai. I have taught in Kahikatea, for three years and in Nga Tipuranga for one year. I really enjoyed last year in Kowhai and I am looking forward to more Work it out Wednesdays and exciting trips away from school.

Welcome, I'm the teacher in Room 17. I teach year 5 & 6 students. Last year I was on a science fellowship studying our unique freshwater fish. I was also promoting the rehabilitation of the Wharemauku Stream that runs from Valley Rd through Coastlands and out to the sea at Raumati Beach. I'm still involved with these environmental projects and hope to enthuse the students to become involved also. I love the outdoors and immersing myself in nature. I especially enjoy the sports you can experience in the mountains, the rivers and the ocean and the peace you can find there.
